Subject: Nonprofits in the Berkshires of Massachusetts
When posting to MBM Berkshires, please follow these guidelines:
1. Write about subjects that pertain only to nonprofit related subjects
2. Frame your message in the language of civil discourse and avoid inflammatory rhetoric
3. Write for a county-wide readership
4. If you have products, services, or trainings to sell, please exercise the greatest possible restraint in your sales pitches. This is a highly subjective matter, and the group moderators will use their best judgment in approving or rejecting posts that offer anything for sale.
5. While announcements about political matters that directly affect the nonprofit sector in Massachusetts are sometimes appropriate, avoid rants, calls to action pertaining to partisan politics, fundraising pitches for political campaigns, and extensive general discussions about politics. The group moderators will use their best judgment in approving or rejecting posts that pertain to political topics.
To post a message to the entire group, prepare a regular plain text email and send it to berkshires@missionbasedmassachusetts.net. (The message will go directly into the queue for moderation. Please be sure that the subject heading and the body of the text contain exactly the content that you wish to have distributed to all members of the group. The moderators can either approve or reject the message for distribution, but cannot edit the message in any way before it goes to the entire group.)
